Delete a Bookworm account

1. Open the Bookworm app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile, then Settings.
3. Choose Delete Account.
4. Complete the confirmation step and submit the deletion.

1. Use the email request button on this page.
2. Include the account email, Google/Apple email, or school login identifier.
3. If the account is school-managed, include the school name and parent/guardian contact details.
4. We may ask for extra verification before deleting a child or school-managed account.

• Bookworm app account profile and authentication account where technically possible
• Generated stories, story-generation tasks, story media references, and related server records
• Reading progress, quiz progress, streak and reward state, leaderboard/BW point records
• Avatar/profile settings and server-side vocabulary records if present
• School-managed account data when the authorized school, parent, guardian, or user request is verified

• Payment, tax, accounting, refund, and subscription transaction records may be retained for up to 10 years where required by law, app-store policy, or payment compliance.
• Security, abuse-prevention, audit, and diagnostic logs may be retained for up to 24 months when needed to protect users or investigate misuse.
• Support correspondence may be retained for up to 24 months so we can document and resolve the request.
• Backup copies are removed or isolated from normal processing on the next backup rotation, generally within 90 days.
• Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, Supabase, Sentry, and other providers may keep their own records under their own policies.
• Data stored only on your device, such as cached stories or local vocabulary files, remains on that device until you clear app storage or uninstall Bookworm.

You can request deletion of some Bookworm data without deleting the whole account. For example, you may ask us to delete a specific generated story, support message, or other account-linked record where technically and legally possible.

In-app story deletion may also be available for stories you created. Device-only data can be removed by clearing Bookworm app storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

• Data collected by the Bookworm app is encrypted in transit with HTTPS/TLS.
• Bookworm supports username/password accounts for school login and email signup, plus OAuth through Google and Apple.
• Users can request deletion of some data without deleting the whole account by emailing us with the partial deletion request link below.
• Bookworm is designed to support Google Play Families Policy expectations for child-directed experiences.
